HairSwap ("we", "us", "our") is an AI hairstyle try-on tool. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, where it goes, and your rights. We keep it plain and accurate — it describes what we actually do, nothing more.

1. What We Collect

Your uploaded photo — the selfie you submit to generate a preview.
Your style prompt — the hairstyle or color you select (e.g. "platinum blonde hair").
IP address — used only for rate limiting (we store a hashed version, not the raw address).
Basic analytics — via Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not set cookies or collect personal data.
Payment information — only if you upgrade to Pro; handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe/Creem). We never see or store your full card number.

2. Why We Collect It

Your photo and prompt → to generate the AI preview you requested.
IP address → to enforce the free daily limit and prevent abuse.
Analytics → to understand traffic and improve the service.
Payment data → to process your subscription.

3. Who We Share It With (Third Parties)

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the product:

fal.ai — your photo and prompt are sent to fal.ai's API to generate the image.
Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and security.
Plausible — privacy-friendly analytics (no personal data, no cookies).
Stripe / Creem — payment processing, only when you make a purchase.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your uploaded photos to train AI models.

4. Storage & Retention

Uploaded photos — sent to fal.ai for processing; we do not permanently store them. Generated results may be cached for up to 24 hours, then deleted.
Usage records (hashed IP) — retained for 90 days to prevent abuse, then removed.
Billing records — retained as required by tax law.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access your data
Request deletion of your data
Object to or restrict processing
Data portability

6. Children

Our service is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
